One-On-One Instruction Programs in Cuenca
Spanish and Volunteer
Available all year long
The academic program at FUNDACION AMAUTA is recognized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education
La Fundación Amauta is offering the opportunity to volunteer in your area of interest while studying Spanish with one on one instruction. Work on projects in the area that are beneficial for children with little or no resources , single mothers, children of the street, etc. Utilize your knowledge on projects concerning education, health, environment and conservation, ECT.
Organize your hours study Spanish in the morning and volunteer in the afternoon or vice versa, or if you prefer start your volunteer work when you finish your course in Spanish.
EXTRAS
Family home stay: $16 per day (it includes three meals and laundry). Students share activities with the family if desired.
Monday: You can learn the basics of Salsa and Merengue: 4:45 p.m
Tuesday: Visit a factory of sombreros de paja toquilla: 3:00-5:00 p.m
Wednesday: Learn to prepare delicious typical dishes in our cooking class
3:00 P.M.
Thursday: Visit a museum: 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Friday: Watch a movie in Spanish: 3:00 p.m
Amauta will provide you with the weekly list of recommended cultural activities that take place every night of the week.

We arrange homestays with local families for all our students. Students have their own rooms, eat all their meals and participate in family life. This allows for Spanish practice outside the classroom and integration into community life. Families in both urban and rural areas are available.
You can choose weather you want to stay in a house or apartment; weather you want to stay with the family that has children; or even a vegetarian family.
For those who prefer to live independently, we can arrange for a private room or apartment.
