One-On-One Instruction Programs in Cuenca
Spanish Intensive Program
Available all year long
The academic program at FUNDACION AMAUTA is recognized by the Ecuadorian Ministry of Education
Take advantage of our Intensive Program which is the centerpiece of AMAUTA's course offerings. You will develop all the languages skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) with our communicative program. 20 to 35 hours per week, one on one instruction .Specialized to meet your needs. We can also place you with a family in Cuenca.
The program includes

- Spanish certificate from Amauta.
- Trips and excursions.
- Information and travel consulting service for Ecuador and South America assistance in reservations, confirmations.
- Coffee, natural tea, local fresh baked bread and bottled water provided
EXTRAS
Family home stay: $18 per day (Includes three meals and laundry). Students share activities with the family if desired.
Monday: You can learn the basics of Salsa and Merengue: 4:45 p.m
Tuesday: Visit a factory of sombreros de paja toquilla: 3:00-5:00 p.m
Wednesday: Learn to prepare delicious typical dishes in our cooking class: 3:00 P.M.
Thursday: Visit a museum: 3:00 – 5:00 p.m.
Friday: Watch a movie in Spanish: 3:00 p.m
Amauta will provide you with the weekly list of recommended cultural activities that take place every night of the week.

We arrange homestay with local families for all our students. Students have their own rooms, eat all their meals and participate in family life. This allows for Spanish practice outside the classroom and integration into community life. Families in both urban and rural areas are available.
You can choose weather you want to stay in a house or apartment; weather you want to stay with the family that has children; or even a vegetarian family. For those who prefer to live independently, we can arrange for a private room or apartment.
